I am a lifelong resident of Johnson County having lived in Cleburne, Rio Vista and Burleson. I am married to David Ivey and have 2 children and 2 granddaughters. My son Matt Reynolds lives in North Texas and works for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. My daughter Amy Reynolds Creech live in North Texas and works for Edward Jones. Amy is married to Sean and they have 2 daughters, Adyson and Ava. In 1986 I began with the Johnson County Tax office in a part time position taking on full time in 1988. In 1990 I began working in the Johnson County District Attorney’s office as a Legal Secretary. In 2006 I began my career in the County Clerk’s office. I worked in the Civil and Criminal departments and then as the Commissioners Court Clerk before running for office in 2010 after the previous County Clerk, Curtis Douglas did not seek re-election.
David and I have been members of Northpointe Baptist Church in Burleson for the past 5 years. Previously I was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne for 26 years, helping establish the AWANA children’s ministry and working with the senior citizens ministry.
My roots to Johnson County run deep, as my parents Earl and Estelle Doty are long time Johnson County residents. My dad served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the
Korean War and also worked at the Santa Fe Road for 38 years. My mother was a seamstress in local dress shops in downtown Cleburne. During recent family history searches I have found to be a 5th generation Johnson County resident. Growing up in Johnson County my parents taught me honesty, hard work and a love for people.
It has been an honor and privilege to serve the citizens of Johnson County for 28 years and I look forward in continuing to serve as your County Clerk. I am asking for your vote on March 6th, 2018.
Thank you and God Bless.
